The Fighter
Victoria "Vortex" Anthony started on the judo mat at six — training for years in the same camp as a young Ronda Rousey — before freestyle wrestling found her and never let go.
At Simon Fraser she became the first woman ever to win four collegiate national titles. Two Junior World Championships, three Pan American golds, two U.S. Open crowns and a spot as a 2020 Olympic alternate followed. With Helen Maroulis, she now lends her name to the Anthony–Maroulis Trophy, awarded each year to the nation's top woman college wrestler.
Today she carries it into the cage — 3–1 as an MMA flyweight out of Fight Ready — and pours it all back into the next generation of girls chasing the medals she stacked.
